Each piece of jewellery Suzs creates and handcrafts is designed to be a piece of wearable art.
As a Jewellery Maker working predominantly in silver and copper, Suz has a strong connection with the ocean and water. The layers and textures found within our oceans, along our coastlines and in the animals and plants that live in and around the water fascinates her.
Suz is fascinated with the layers and moods of nature. How there are hidden depths that we do not see. It reminds her of how people’s exterior is not always what is hidden inside. ReconnectNZ runs workshops that encourage, support and provide opportunities for people to have positive experiences in the creative space.
We believe creativity is intrinsic to being human. Without creativity there is no innovation - creativity is about play, about making mistakes, trying something different and learning from the experience.

Went with my partner, I have no creative skill but was pleasantly surprised in the relaxed and inclusive manner that Sues went through the activities. Discussed how to approach the painting and had a lot of fun in discovering techniques. Would recommend to others on an individual or group basis. We are really proud of our art and discovered creativity.
